Alone
At peace

There in that desolate field
By the railroad tracks
Where the scars of old structures
Mark the earth…
The ghosts of another time linger
In cold limbo
From my perch
Above
I can see
The faint trails
Of life lost in time
Oh, how quickly
We move on…
Forgetting
The effort and desires
Once dedicated
To a place
A time
A life
